Since I recently posted about my first day of classes and how hectic it all was…I thought I’d share some pictures from my new home City for you! (Some of these pictures were taken on Sunday, since it was raining Monday morning but the ones of the sunset are from my actual walk back home from school Monday night!)
Now, come take a walk with me to school!! (I promise it’s shorter than the real 40 minute walk, but just as beautiful!)
I live in “Triana”, one of the regions in Seville that are across the river from “El Centro” which is where my school is. There are beautiful little roads, with shops and restaurants that have outdoor dining. We walk this way on our way to cross the river.
Now we are coming closer to the bridge that takes us across the Guadalquivir River which runs through the City.
The Cathedral can be seen from the bridge.
(Now that I am off the bridge and walking into downtown, the picture above is a view of the bridge I was just taking pictures from!)
I walk along the river to get to school. El Torre del Oro (Tower of Gold) can be seen in the distance. I walk past it every day on the way downtown!
Closer picture of “El Torre del Oro”
This is the bull fighting ring that I pass while walking to class… (only in Spain, right?)
This is Puerta de Jerez, a plaza area I walk through to get to school!
There is a trolley that runs on these lines that goes through part of “El Centro” near our school.
This is Hotel Alfonso XIII, a five-star hotel, close to Puerta de Jerez and the University.
And there’s the University of Seville, where I would take a right and walk down that street to get to the entrance!
Those are some of my sunny views on the walk to school…markets in Triana, a beautiful bridge crossing the Guadalquivir, El Torre del Oro, the bullfighting Ring and Puerta de Jerez!
Now when I finally finished my classes yesterday at 7:00pm, I was able to catch a beautiful sunset on my walk home! Here are a couple more pictures! Enjoy!! xoxo
